Development trend of plastic products

2019-01-09

The government has successively introduced various rescue measures, including 4 trillion yuan of investment projects, and arranged and implemented 10 measures to expand domestic demand, especially among them to accelerate the construction of affordable housing projects, accelerate the construction of rural infrastructure, and accelerate the railway, highway and airport. Major projects such as the construction of facilities and the acceleration of urban power grid transformation will be applied to PVC plastic products. Automobiles, electronic information, light industry and other industries that have implemented the adjustment and revitalization plan have also been introduced. They are also the major users of PVC products and will play a leading role in the development of the plastics industry. (Source: National Bureau of Statistics)

Regional distribution of China's plastic products industry
The plastics industry has experienced different degrees of growth in various regions. Statistics show that in the past, the provinces with relatively weak plastic processing industry, such as Hunan, Hainan, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, etc., have seen a large increase in the output of plastic products in 2012. More than 50%, but the regional imbalance pattern has not changed much, high energy consumption, low processing technology content, labor-intensive products gradually flow to economically underdeveloped areas.

The total plastic products in Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces was 1221.33 million tons, accounting for 55.5% of the country's total output. Guangdong still accounts for 25% of the country, Zhejiang still accounts for 20%, and Jiangsu accounts for 10.5%, a slight decline. The overall pattern has not changed; Shandong Province, which ranks fourth, accounts for 7%; Hebei, Henan, and Liaoning provinces account for 5%, 4.7%, and 4.5% respectively, surpassing Fujian and following Shandong, ranking 5th. 6, 7; Fujian, Anhui, and Shanghai accounted for 3.93%, 3.34%, and 2.82%, respectively, ranked 8, 9, and 10. The regional characteristics of various products are very obvious. The varieties of plastic products in each province have different emphasis: Guangdong Province's plastic rod and pipe, plastic packaging boxes and containers, daily plastic products, and other plastic products rank first in the country; Zhejiang plastic film, plastic The artificial leather ranks first in the country; the production of foam plastic and plastic synthetic leather in Jiangsu Province is the first in the country; the output of plastic profiles in Liaoning Province continues to rank first in the country after 2010; the agricultural film and plastic weaving products in Shandong Province rank first in the country. .

China Research Institute's industry research organization believes that plastic building materials and new packaging materials will become the main areas of plastic growth. Today, chemical building materials are called the fourth generation of building materials after steel, wood and cement, and plastic building materials are the main components of chemical building materials. Plastic building materials mainly include plastic pipes, plastic doors and windows, building waterproof materials, thermal insulation materials, decoration materials, etc. Plastic building materials are widely used in construction engineering, municipal engineering, and industrial construction. The real estate industry and the construction industry are the pillar industries of China's national economy. Although the country has continuously introduced relevant macro-control policies due to the rapid rise in housing prices, the management's attitude of supporting the healthy development of the housing industry has not changed; as the Chinese economy gradually enters a comprehensive well-off society The strong demand for residents to improve housing conditions is still strong; the construction of the Beijing Olympic Games and Shanghai World Expo venues will also stimulate demand for the development of the construction industry. Under this circumstance, the National Chemical Building Materials Leading Group has also formulated a number of opinions, outlines and methods for the production and promotion of chemical building materials, providing policy guarantees for the stable development of plastic building materials. China's plastic building materials products have huge market space. Taking the plastic pipe market as an example, the market share of plastic pipes in developed countries is 50%, compared with only 25% in China. In the next 10 years, the domestic plastic pipe market demand will reach 800 billion yuan.
